Established in 1997, Spirit ran a full service environmental recycling company based in Williamsport, Maryland that provided recycling services to customers throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast United States. Spirit's history includes a public/private partnership formed in 1998 with the Washington County Maryland Board of County Commissioners. The partnership was created for the purpose of managing and operating the Conococheague Industrial Pretreatment Facility (CIPF).
After many years of successful operation, Spirit agreed to purchase the CIPF from Washington County and began operating it privately. In 2018, Spirit sold its Maryland and Virginia facilities to Valicor Environmental Services - www.valicor.com.
Our privately owned vehicles, on-site laboratory and multiple locations allow Spirit to provide our clients with a wide range of environmental services.
In 2006, Spirit established a location in Nitro, WV designed to service the midstream natural gas industry in several states. Spirit Energy Services utilizes state-of-the-art treatment equipment and maintains a versatile transportation fleet. In 2020 Spirit Energy Services established a location in Beech Bottom, WV that services the Utica Shale region.
